Pokemon TCG Pocket Player Shares Cost of Complete Collection

A dedicated player of Pokemon TCG Pocket has disclosed the total amount spent to unlock the entire Genetic Apex set. Launched just a few weeks ago, the game has already seen players successfully collect all available cards. However, the game’s pay-to-win model has raised some eyebrows among its community.

The Cost of Collecting

According to the player, known as Weens4Life, obtaining all 286 cards from the Genetic Apex set, which includes 226 main deck cards and 60 secret rares, cost them a staggering $1500 since the game’s launch. While this amount may seem excessive, it’s a common trend in many gacha-style games, where a small percentage of players contribute significantly to revenue.

Collection Statistics

Weens4Life shared some insightful statistics from their card-collecting journey. They opened a total of 1741 packs and amassed 8582 cards overall. Despite their efforts, Weens4Life remarked, “there is no reward for doing this.” During their collection, they managed to pull only 4 Crown Rarity cards, which are among the rarest in the game. Unfortunately, they did not secure any God Packs, and the final three full art cards took the longest to obtain. By the conclusion of their collection, they had reached Level 47.

Ongoing Popularity and Future Events

Regardless of the ongoing pay-to-win discussions, Pokemon TCG Pocket has captured the hearts of many fans. The original trading card game has a legacy of nearly three decades, and its mobile adaptation continues to thrive. Players are eager to see how the game will evolve over time.

Exciting news is on the horizon as a leaked event featuring Bulbasaur is rumored to start soon. Players can also anticipate various promotions in the upcoming months, keeping the excitement alive within the community.

With its growing popularity, Pokemon TCG Pocket has a bright future ahead, and fans are enthusiastic about what lies next in their card-collecting adventures.
