Discover the Secret Wishlist Hack in Pokémon TCG Pocket You Can’t Miss

Enhancing Your Pokémon TCG Pocket Experience with Wishlisting

The Pokémon TCG Pocket app is set to undergo various quality-of-life improvements, particularly in its user interface. One feature that stands out yet remains largely unknown to users is the wishlisting system. This hidden gem can make organizing your card collection much easier.

Understanding Wishlisting in Pokémon TCG Pocket

As players strive to complete their Pokédex, particularly for the game’s inaugural set, Genetic Apex, they often find it challenging to track down missing cards. Fortunately, the wishlisting feature allows you to identify which cards are still absent from your collection, making it a valuable tool for selecting your Wonder Picks.

How to Create a Wishlist

To access the wishlisting option, navigate to your collection by selecting the My Cards tab, which is the second option in the five tabs located at the bottom of the main screen. By default, this page hides the cards you haven’t collected yet. To reveal them, tap the unlabeled toggle near the top left of the screen, next to the search button.

Once activated, your collection will display empty spaces where cards are missing, indicated by gray backgrounds with the respective card numbers. Tapping on one of these gray tiles will show you the back of the card with the words “Not obtained”. In the top right corner, you will notice a gray heart outline with the word “Wishlist” below it.

Tap the heart, and it will change to pink, notifying you briefly that “You wishlisted this card. You will see a wishlist icon on this card in Wonder Picks.” This functionality proves useful for streamlining your card selection process.

Using Your Wishlist in Wonder Picks

After wishlisting your desired cards, head over to the Wonder Pick page. Here, any card from the available packs that you haven’t obtained will be marked with a pink heart in the top right corner. This visual cue simplifies the selection process, eliminating the need to switch back and forth between tabs or memorize the cards you still need.

Limitations of the Wishlisting Feature

While wishlisting is a great addition, it does have its limitations. For instance, the wishlist hearts do not appear in the Pack Point Exchange, where they would be particularly helpful. This inconsistency can make it frustrating to navigate between your collection and the exchange, especially since accessing the exchange requires multiple taps without the quick-scroll feature present on other screens.

Moreover, the toggle for showing missing cards only works for the main set up to 226/226, Lt. Surge. Once you venture into alt-arts (cards 227 to 286), it fails to indicate any gaps. This oversight means you cannot wishlist these cards, which can be quite frustrating.

Looking Ahead

As the Pokémon TCG Pocket game receives updates, players hope that these quirks will be addressed, and perhaps a more prominent notification about the wishlisting feature will be introduced. For now, make the most of this handy tool to enhance your Pokémon card collection experience!
